Kinetic Art at Aloft Coral Gables FALL 2018 Exhibition

Aloft Coral Gables Hotel and Adriana Meneses Art are pleased to present a group exhibit featuring three talented artists and their kinetic art pieces. “Kinetic Art at Aloft” will run from August 7, 2018 – November 15, 2018 with an opening reception on Wednesday August 22nd, 2018 at 6pm. The show will encompass five artworks in which each artist successfully attempts to express the movement of space and emotion with intricate lines and patterns.                                                     Artists will include:                                                                         Adriana Dorta, who while travelling to Medjugorje (Bosnia-Hersegovina) in 2012 her spirituality emerged and since then she aims to transmit her faith and devotion through her paintings and sculptures by combining intricate precise lines, the power of color, and light.                                                         Miguel Grillo presents two pieces from the series "ECOS", where he searches for the meaning of madness from the material to the intangible world.                                                             Martin Schoffel work focuses on creating movement through optical illusions with the use of superimposing graphic elements with color and printing on shiny aluminum creating flashing and vibrating patterns.
About Adriana Meneses Art Adriana Meneses Imber graduated from Social Communication at the UCAB (Caracas, Venezuela) and has a post-graduate degree in Art Administration from Drexel University, (Philadelphia, USA). Since 1979 she worked as a reporter for the Cultural Pages of El Universal, a task that she continued while studying in the United States. In 1987 she opened the Ernst Alexander Gallery in Washington DC. From 1990 to 1995 she worked as Director of Culture for the Venezuelan Government, where she developed an extensive program of exhibitions, musical events, and training workshops, among other activities. In 1995 she became Director/Founder of the Museum of the West Jacobo Borges, a unique institution in its genre whose profile is to develop works that link the arts to social issues. In 2006 she went on to direct the Carlos Cruz Diez Museum and the management of special projects of the IARTES. In July 2015 she moved to the United States, where she has been organizing exhibitions and is part of the I AM MONUMENTS Institutional Assets and Monuments team and is part of the Arts Connection Board.                                           Kinetic Art at Aloft Coral Gables is on display in the hotel lobby at 2524 S.
